TransFamily of NWPA is an organization created to serve the transgender community of Northwestern Pennsylvania serving Erie, Crawford, and Warren counties.
The mission of TransFamily of NWPA is to support the transgender community of Northwestern Pennsylvania, as well as those who are questioning, their loved ones, family members, and allies. We will work towards a greater understanding of people who are transgender through advocacy, education, and community engagement.
TransFamily of NWPA currently consists of peer-to-peer groups and serves the transgender community of Northwestern Pennsylvania. We provide a safe space for those who fit on (or off) the gender spectrum, or are questioning, to share their experiences and to obtain support from others.
We welcome anyone who identifies as gender-variant, their family, friends, and allies of the community. We also support the community through advocacy efforts and education to the larger cisgender community, and we attend to charges of discrimination experienced by transgender individuals in Erie County.
